Norsepower joins Shipping & Offshore Network association

Norsepower is pleased to announce that they have recently joined the Shipping & Offshore Network. The Shipping & Offshore Network is an independent club network association founded in 1981. The initial purpose of the Network was to organise market research related to tanker and bulk shipping markets and is the preferred shipping forum for networking and market knowledge for trendsetters in the Nordic maritime region and continues to grow in terms of scope, membership structure and activities.

With the addition of Norsepower, who is the first member from Finland, this partnership will strengthen the coalition to be the preferred shipping forum for networking and market knowledge for trendsetters in the Nordic maritime cluster, as well as the international role in the Maritime Oslofjord alliance. The other two alliance members are Oslo Shipowners’ Association and Ocean Industry Forum Oslofjord.

The alliance between Norsepower and Shipping & Offshore Network will bring together key members of the marine value chain – advancing cooperation and knowledge and sharing to build confidence in raising the profile with Norwegian shipping companies.

“We’re excited to be part of the Shipping & Offshore Network. As pioneers of modern auxiliary wind propulsion technology for the global maritime industry, we look forward to collaborating to support the Nordic region. We believe that the ability to harness wind as an additional propulsion source to enable a reduction in fuel consumption and related emissions is a natural next step for the maritime industry as it seeks to remain cost-efficient and meet existing and forthcoming environmental regulations” said Tuomas Riski, CEO Norsepower
