The company is the only shipping industry organisation among this year’s five Climate Solver honourees from Nordic countries, who were recognised for their innovative technologies that have the potential to dramatically reduce carbon emissions or increase access to energy around the globe.

Equity financing round to support Norsepower's growth - Osakeanti kasvun vauhdittamiseksi

Through the Viking Line and Maersk projects, Norsepower is on a solid growth path and is aiming to reach 100 M€ yearly revenue by 2024. To support its growth plans, the company has started an equity financing round which also gives private investors the possibility to participate in the financing of the company. Viking Grace transforms into a sailing ship

Helsinki, Finland – 12 April 2018 – Today the M/S Viking Grace sets sail on her first voyage as the only passenger ship in the world equipped with a Rotor Sail to harness wind power for propulsion. Developed by Finnish clean technology and engineering company Norsepower Oy Ltd., the Rotor Sail Solution will cut fuel consumption and reduce carbon emissions by up to 900 tonnes annually. Viking Line will operate the Viking Grace on wind-assisted voyages between Turku (Finland) and Stockholm (Sweden) from April 12th 2018.

Wind assist technology primed to support Paris-aligned decarbonisation in shipping
