We offer Norsepower Rotor Sails™ for reducing the environmental impact of shipping and are looking for a motivated Automation Engineer! As an Automation Engineer, you will be part of the Automation and Electric team and your main responsibilities will be related to software and automation system development and on-site commissioning. Main tasks are related to developing the Norsepower Rotor Sail™ solution (product development / R&D), supporting delivery projects. As a part of a multidisciplinary team, you have a great possibility to widen your expertise in the fields of automation, electrical, software and marine engineering - and of course you will learn the secrets of Magnus effect by seeing the aerodynamic equations turning in to software. To succeed in this position, we expect you to have a background in automation engineering and solid programming skills. Besides this, you should have some basic electrical knowledge. You are going to work in close collaboration with different stakeholders, so we hope you have good communication and collaboration skills. Because commissions take place at the shipyards willingness to travel is required. In this role, your main responsibility as a Sales Manager is to execute the sales and marketing strategy and achieve the sales targets. Majority of customers are located in Europe, Asia and the Americas. You will independently manage customer relationships and lead sales projects from technical feasibility studies to commercial negotiations. Besides these, you will participate in marketing activities and development of sales operations and documentation. Your main tools include Norsepower’s CRM system and Microsoft Office software. Customer meetings are both virtual and in person meetings requiring travelling. To succeed in this position, you should have at least a couple of years of experience in technical sales. Knowledge of the marine industry is highly valued. You work in close collaboration with a variety of customers, so we assume you have good communication skills and the ability to work with different nationalities and cultures. You have a proactive approach and the ability to understand the business also from the customer’s perspective.
