Norsepower offers to the global maritime market economical solutions, which enable significant reduction of both fuel costs and greenhouse gas emissions of ships.
Since its establishment in November 2012, Norsepower has gathered more than $10 million USD of funding, which has enabled development, piloting and commercialisation of the Norsepower Rotor Sail Solution. The main investors behind Norsepower are Power Fund III, Lifeline Ventures Oy, Finnvera Oyj, Wate Oy and Eera Industrial development Oy, who is also one of the founders of the company and has had a pivotal role in the commercialization of the Rotor Sail Solution. Norsepower is also funded by Tekes – the Finnish Funding Agency for Technology and Innovation and by the European Commission's Horizon2020 Framework Programme for Research and Innovation.
